One person that has impressed me this year is Siya Beyile, founder and creative director of The Threaded Man, an online destination for the modern African man to stay up to date on the latest fashion trends. Following its 2013 launch, The Threaded Man has cemented itself as the go to platform that provides men with the latest style trends, resulting in the portal coming second for the Best Blog about Africa category at the African Blogger Awards.

In a space of two years, Siya has collaborated with a number of brands, while acting as a stylist to some of our favourite celebrities as well as major fashion campaigns. From Flying Fish, Titan, Levis,Ted Baker, Tommy Hilfiger and adidas to mention a few, it’s clear that brands are as obsessed with the Siya Beyile brand as his fast growing following.

Siya recently told Independent News, “Sometimes I feel like I am stuck in the wrong time period where everyone is thinking about now, like I want Instagram friends, I need to be cool and be seen. But I am thinking about future plans, always thinking about what is next.” A true mover and shaker, Siya recently made the coveted Forbes 30 Under 30 list, and is currently the face of American Swiss’ – Salute to the Modern Man campaign.

I know Siya personally, I have worked with him at different levels and have been watching his brand closely over the years. One thing I can share with you is that Siya is a branding genius! At just 22, Siya has mastered the art of marketing and positioning himself, making him one the most influential brands in Mens Fashion in Africa *coughs in Forbes*.


I have no doubt that the Siya Beyile brand is here to stay, will continue growing at a rapid pace, and will definitely be collaborating with more brands because he is professional, takes his craft seriously, does not shy away from hard work. Most importantly, Siya is CONSISTENT!
