It’s Kim’s world. We just live in it. Fresh off her naked attempt at breaking the internet (p.s. I don’t think Solange even came close *Kanye shrug*), Kim Kardashian is showing no signs of slowing down. The Reality TV Queen has been unveiled as the Face of Elle UK’s Confidence Issue. Shot by Jean Baptiste Mondino, Mrs West can be seen starring in three covers for the issue dedicated to self-belief, resilience and confidence.
This is another huge milestone for Kardashian, who not too long ago, had endured snobbery from the fashion world. I remember reading a blog post a few years ago about how publications such as Vogue and Elle US had refused to have Kim grace their covers, as she was not “high fashion” enough. Fast-forward to 2014, Kim and her then soon-to-be-husband Kanye West cover US Vogue, also starring their adorable baby girl North West.
I have always admired Kim for her tenacity and confidence. Kim has shown tremendous amounts of strength, having endured some of the harshest cyber bullying I have seen, since social networks. When Kim and the Kardashian Klan first came on to the scene, I remember watching her continue to smile, keep her head up and pursue her dreams, even though many were tearing her down for making a sex tape with her then boyfriend. I’ve always found it ridiculous that she is still judged for that, anyways, back to the story at hand. Today, Kim is deemed as an “Icon Of Confidence” because she has shown that no one can make you feel small, if you continue to believe in and love your self.
An impressive business empire, a staggering following (apparently she gets more than 20 new social media followers a minute), an App that has reportedly made over $43 Million in three months, love her or loathe her, Kim Kardashian is one of the most influential women of our time. She is a true example of excellent Personal Branding and has demonstrated, consistently, how to stay relevant and attractive to brands and fans alike.
